Light–Matter Symposium

Introduction

5th XMU Symposium on Light–Matter Interactions in Nanostructures

The symposium will focus on the latest advances and emerging breakthroughs in the broad field of light-matter interactions, with particular emphasis on extreme interactions between novel optical fields and matter and their applications in information technology, energy science, quantum technologies, and related areas.

Contributed and invited presentations are expected to cover a wide range of topics, including the theory, materials, fabrication, devices, characterization, and applications of light-matter interactions in micro- and nanostructured systems.

The conference will cover topics including:

  1. Excitons and Exciton-Polaritons in Two-Dimensional Semiconductors
  2. Ultrafast Optical Spectroscopy of Low-Dimensional Semiconductor Systems
  3. Nonlinear Optics and Extreme Light-Matter Interactions in Nanostructures
  4. Condensed Matter Physics in Micro- and Nanostructured Systems
